  Local Government Act of Japan started 60 years ago and JAPAN 47 PREFECTURES COIN PROGRAM has been started in commemoration. In additon to publication of 1,000yen and 500 yen coin, the stamp sheet of each prefecture is to be published one by one as memorial stamps. ISHIKAWA stamp sheet is 38th release and contains five 82yen stamps.
  1. KOTOJI-TOURO garden lantern at KANAZAWA KENROKUEN GARDEN and YUKITSURI lit brightly
  2. KOTOJI-TOURO garden lantern is symbol of KANAZAWA KENROKUEN GARDEN and said to be named after bridge of Japanese KOTO harp. They have heavy snowfall in ISHIKAWA prefecture in winter and YUKITSURI is the way to protect tree branches not to have damages from heavy snowfall. Branches are hung with many ropes.

  3. SHIROYONE SENMAIDA
  4. SHIROYONE SENMAIDA is a group of small terraced rice fields located in Wajima city, Ishikawa Prefecture. There are about thousand fields and continues to the coast.

  5. MITSUKEJIMA Island
  6. MITSUKEJIMA Island is 28m heigh rock, whose shape resembles a warship and is called "warship island" as an alias. This Island is located in SUZU city, Ishikawa prefecture and very famous for the beauty of the sunrise coming from MITSUKEJIMA Island.
